The Air Navigation Pro team is always working hard nonstop to make the app functional the best way possible. Last month, we announced the newest Flight Briefing in Air Navigation Pro version 7.4 for iOS. With this, our support team collects all the concerns and feedback from our users and compiled the top five frequently asked questions to give you direct answers to these queries.  


In the latest Air Navigation Pro version 7.4 for iOS, preparing your flight is a breeze. We have developed a new way for you to organize your pre-flight preparation, with the Flight Briefing. This new Briefing is seamlessly integrated into the Air Navigation Pro app, all the necessary documents that you need in planning your flight is stored in one place and in a logical sequence. As soon as you're done requesting a briefing and creating a route, you can proceed to the next steps right away.

This release will let you enjoy and get more from the pre-flight briefing.


Thus, here's the list of the top five FAQ's about the Flight Briefing:


1. Where can I find the Operational Flightplan? 



In the latest Air Navigation Pro version 7.4 for iOS, we introduced Briefing. Thus, to find the Operational Flightplan or Navigational Log: 


 Briefing folder >> Navigation Log and tap "Create Document".



You can also find Operational Flightplan or Navigational Log in PDF at the bottom of the screen.



In the PDF,  you can see all the information related to your Navigational Log. Once completed, you can enable the "Document ready for flight". This button locks the document from further editing. 



To save, share, and print PDF, just tap the Share icon on the lower left button at the bottom bar.





2. How can I create a new aircraft profile?


The aircraft selection previously located in Documents is now moved to the Flight Parameters section. This aims to provide a better menu while creating a new aircraft profile and choosing an aircraft. 


To do so:

  Flight Parameters >>  New aircraft >>  input aircraft details including Weight and Balance and then, Done.








To choose your aircraft:

Flight Parameters >> under Aircraft list, select your aircraft. Checkmark will appear as selected. 





3. How can I request for a NOTAM? 



This feature requires a subscription. The menu to request and see briefing is now moved in the NOTAM section in Briefing. You just need to create a document, fill it out and then input your request. 


To do so:

Briefing folder >> NOTAMs >> tap "Create a document".  Then, tap PDF icon.



In the PDF, you can see all the information about the NOTAMs. Once completed, you can enable the "Document ready for flight". This button locks the document from further editing. 



To save, share, and print PDF, just tap the Share icon on the lower left button at the bottom bar.




You can also display the NOTAMs on the moving map.


To do so:


From the toolbar Map options, be sure you toggle on the button "Show NOTAMs on map" and "Show NOTAM radius".










4. How can I create the Weight and Balance of an aircraft? 


You can create and update a document of an aircraft.

First, provide all the details of your current aircraft from the aircraft profile under Flight Parameters. After filling out the necessary information, proceed to:  



Briefing >> Weight and Balance >> tap "Create Document" to find selected or current aircraft profile.



Input additional details and tap "Calculate W & B" to see the computation. 



Then, tap PDF icon to see all the information on the Weight and Balance sheet. Once completed, you can enable the "Document ready for flight". This button locks the document from further editing.  





To save, share, and print PDF, just tap the Share icon on the lower left button at the bottom bar.




5.  How can I file an ATC Flightplan? 


Another feature that is moved under Briefing is the ATC Flightplan. This is a paid subscription and you are provided with ATC Flightplan form in order to submit your request.


To do so:


Briefing >> ATC Flightplan >> tap "Create Document".  Then, tap PDF icon. 



In the PDF, you can see all the information on your request. Once reviewed and completed, tap "Send to ATC". 



To save, share, and print PDF, just tap the Share icon on the lower left button at the bottom bar.
